CATVIS was founded in 1985, with initial activities in the design and supply of recirculation systems for catfish, hence our name, and soon after that for eel. Numerous systems were designed and built in the following years, both in The Netherlands and other European countries.
CATVIS also diversified in the marine farming sector, rapidly expanding throughout the Mediterranean. At present CATVIS is known as versatile, yet specialized, supplier to the international aquaculture industry, serving many companies throughout Europe, the Mediterranean countries and several areas in the world.
The selected product range serves several aspects of “state-of-the-art” marine fish farming (e.g. sea bass, sea bream, turbot, halibut, cod, sole, grouper etc.), the farming of fresh water species (e.g. eel, catfish, tilapia, sturgeon, trout, ornamental fish, etc.), and shrimp farming (Middle and South America, Asia, Middle-East, etc.)
CATVIS operates from its main office in The Netherlands, from daughter company Catvis Hellas in Greece and from permanent base in Spain thus ensuring a good access and proper service to the different markets.

Our main market is focussed on warm water fish and shrimp culture, and we can deliver all around the world!
• Larval Feed
Full line of high quality feeds, required for the feeding/weaning of fish/shrimp larvae and fry: Artemia cysts, Enrichment Diets, Lucky Star feed, and algae concentrate.
• Equipment Land-based Farming
Catvis supplies system-components (like fish pumps, graders, feeders, counters, drum filters, etc.) and total systems for water intakes, recirculation systems, hatchery systems or flow-through systems. System deliveries can involve the design & engineering, the project management and/or the installation of the systems.
• Equipment Offshore Farming
The core of the offshore equipment-range wich Catvis supplies are the IMA
Cages and IMA Mooring Systems. Further supplies involve cage nets,
feeding equipment, biomass counters, fish pumps, under water cameras, and
net cleaning materials/systems. The Offshore activity of Catvis also
involves the supply of total projects with design/calculation, project
management and installation.
